Believe in the Power of Cuteness

My love for drawing and cute stuff started a long time ago, when as a child I spent afternoons putting on paper my fantasy world. Growing up I studied every aspect of art in school and got an interest for anime, cartoons, manga and comics. I also started to take part in hobby markets in my area, where I sold handmade accessories and paper goodies. It was just a hobby, but it soon became a dream… The dream of spreading cuteness in every corner of the world.

Behold, here comes MelonLemon!

The project of MelonLemon came to mind in 2019. Why not have my own brand? Time to choose a name and start create! While brainstorming I wrote down many things I loved. Looking at the list, melon and lemon (my two favorite fruits) sounded perfectly together. One sour and pungent, the other sweet and gentle: the best way to represent life. The logo during these years got redesigned a couple of times until the last version, cutest than ever!

The creative process

Ideas can come together all at once or... not at all! Fortunately anything I see, celebrate, observe becomes a font of inspiration. Once the project is chosen, the next step is the sketch. Then change it 1000 times, think that it's finally ready, look at it the day after and think it's all wrong, proceed to redraw it. After the approval there's still the final drawing, coloring, choose the best materials, find manufacturers, take care of the shipping process, take pictures… It's a journey. At the end of the day it's all about giving the customers a great experience. Who supports my small business is one in a melon!
